Hampshire Market Garden (Rushmere)

Hampshire Market Garden are a not-for-profit social enterprise that is working to show the world that healthy soil can protect our future. From food security to climate resilience, we will demonstrate that caring for what lies beneath our feet is the key to a sustainable future.

We do this by growing organic veg with a focus on soil health, educating communities on how important it is, and collaborating with farmers, organisations, and policymakers to drive change and promote sustainable land stewardship.

We also donate healthy organic food to local pantries, food projects, night shelters and more.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us! We are incredibly grateful for the time and wide range of expertise gifted to us by our wonderful volunteers. It goes a long way to help us achieve our mission.

We want to reconnect people with where their food is grown, and that is why we offer volunteering opportunities. To us our staff and volunteers are the heart of our market garden and we couldn’t operate without you. Our volunteer days can give you regular time outside, improve physical and mental wellbeing, provide a day with other like-minded people or help you learn new skills. Upon signing up to volunteer we will see what you would like to get out of attending our sessions, and help you achieve that.

Community Volunteer Day is every Wednesday 10am – 3pm at Rushmere Farm, Hambledon

and Thursdays 10am – 3pm at Lockerley (near Romsey)!
