In The Woods is a beautiful stretch canopy between magnificent ancient trees, creating the most inspiring place to host a group in the heart of the natural woodland environment. This space has been created as part of Rushmere Organic Farm's plan to engage the public and the community in their systems of growing food and nurturing wildlife and can be hired by you to host you own regular or one off gatherings. Please contact us to engage our guests with your planned activities.
The canopy shelters an area big enough for 60+ people with two giant tables made from single chestnut trees, each able to seat 30 people, and a 4m diameter raised wooden stage/platform. Just outside of the canopy area is a campfire circle, as well as paths winding off to the compost loo and kitchen hut. From the woodland edge nearby the slope rises up into a wildflower meadow where the woodland yurt looks west to the setting sun.

Rushmere Farm hosts gatherings of many kinds — from weddings and celebrations to corporate offsites, retreats and community events. What they share is not a format, but a setting: a working organic farm cared for through stewardship, where access is shaped by respect for land, people and wildlife. People don’t simply hire Rushmere. They are trusted with it. Throughout the year we host several events for our stewards and volunteers, as well as anyone else who wants to join in on the fun.
