A double bed is inside the yurt with bedding provided, there are also 2 single foam mattresses (no bedding provided).

EATING & DRINKING

Cutlery, crockery, pots and pans are provided (enough for 4), along with a large tank of drinking water. A gas stove can be used for cooking, and the log burner will also boil water. The village has a well-stocked shop (The Peoples Market) and a pub (The Vine) serving decent pub grub. If you are willing to drive a bit further, The White Lion in Soberton or The Bakers Arms in Droxford have very good food, wine and beer.

WASHING

A large tank of drinking water can be used for washing along with a washing up bowl and washing up liquid. Water can be warmed on the gas or wood stove if required. Please let us know if you need this topping up during your stay.

LIGHT

Fairy lights and candles are provided for when it gets dark. It would be wise to bring a torch each.

RUBBISH

There is a recycling point in the farmyard, next to the shower/toilet block. Please recycle and dispose of your rubbish at the end of your stay.

There is a fire pit outside and a log burner inside. Enough logs, kindling and tinder are provided for the log burner for 1 day/night. Additional wood is charged at £5 per basket. Please consider the environment when burning wood, and use only what is necessary.

THE LOO

The composting loo is a short walk up a path behind the yurt. Sit down and enjoy the view.

SHOWERS

If you'd like a shower during your stay, you can go up to the farmyard where there is a hot shower.

CLOTHING

Check the weather and bring appropriate clothing. Outside of the summer season you will almost certainly need wellies/boots and a coat. Warm clothing, even in summer, will be useful.

GETTING TO THE YURT

Google Maps link to parking for woodland yurt.  The pin drop will lead you to the approximate parking location.

If at the address, 'Rushmere Farm, Rushmere Lane, PO7 4SG', leave Rushmere Farm on your right as you head north on Rushmere Lane. Pass the pond on your right and turn right at the fork. Pass a flint wall and barn on your right and turn right towards Pithill on Pithill Lane. Pass some double gates and barns on your right after 200m. Another 200m and there will be a pair of metal gates on your left and a sign saying 'no motor vehicles'.

Open the gates (code 2707), drive through and close them behind you. Drive 400m down the track until the track meets the woods. Park off the track, on the right before the woods, by a big earth pile. Collect your things, use the wheel barrow if you need it, and walk to the right down the footpath behind the woods. Immediately turn right off the footpath onto a track through the woods. After a short walk you will see the yurt. Let yourself in and make yourself at home.

We operate a self-check-in. We would recommend arriving in the light (from 2pm onwards), so that you have time to familiarise yourself with your surroundings.

If you think of anything during your stay that could be improved upon please let us know, and if you have any queries at any point don’t hesitate to ask. If you have any problems during your stay, you can contact George on 07832 535933. Enter your own text
