Natural spaces

The woodland canopy in a beautiful clearing amongst ancient trees comfortably covers 120 people with electricity, lighting, and water. Tables and chairs are provided as well as spaces for cooking and toilets for guests.

The Cattleyard, where the majority of our accommodation is located, can be used for gatherings until 6pm. For BBQs, Pizzas and smaller gatherings in a big open barn and surrounding courtyard.

Events

You can host your own events at Rushmere Farm, including corporate off-sites, weddings and retreats, as well as joining own gatherings. Set in 15 acres of ancient woodland in the South Downs National Park, gatherings here take under a beautiful canopy surrounded by wildflower meadow and working farmland. For smaller, daytime occasions you can use the cattleyard barn and surrounding accommodation.

Stewards Gatherings

Throughout the year we host tours, workshops, volunteering days and seasonal stewardship gatherings that bring people straight into the life of the farm. At the centre of it all is Wild Rogues, our summer week in the fields and woods, when the farm is at its most abundant and the community comes alive. It is practical, fun and unforgettable. Across the year there are harvest moments, woodland work days, walks and talks, field conversations, shared meals, music in the woods and the occasional proper party to mark what we have achieved. Some gatherings involve real, hands-on work. Others are about learning, meeting people and enjoying the place. Children are welcome. Curiosity is enough. These are events on us. They are welcoming and rooted in the farming calendar. You can come to volunteer, to learn, to celebrate, or simply to spend time somewhere beautiful. However you join in, stewardship gatherings are where the farm stops being something you visit and becomes something you are part of.
