Rushmere Farm is working with Friends Without Borders and the British Red Cross to bring about a fun, and relaxing opportunity for refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants to get out of the City and into the country, to work on a project together, for the community.
On the last Friday of every month, throughout the year, come rain or shine we will be woodworking together at Rushmere Farm. Together we have made spatulas, spoons, stools and we hope to build a bench that can be taken back to Portsmouth. There will be time to chat, to learn about the land, native wildlife, and to get involved with other aspects of farming, growing, forestry and art. All of our guests relish the opportunity to do something different in a peaceful environment and we love having them here.
If you would like to get involved please do book in. The fee helps cover the cost of food and transport for our guests. If you would like to make a donation this will help us to sustain the projects viability.
