Farm Tour

Spend time walking the farm with farmer George Crossley, exploring how food, wildlife and landscapes can work together.

Our walks are informal, thoughtful and seasonal. Depending on the time of year, we may look at:

  • organic arable farming
  • soil health and carbon
  • wildlife habitats and biodiversity
  • hedgerows, woodland and field margins
  • regenerative and ecological farming ideas
  • the market garden
  • grains, pulses and oat milk production
  • how farming decisions affect nature, climate and food quality

These are not polished “visitor attraction” tours. They are open conversations about what is working, what is difficult, and why we farm the way we do.

There is always space for discussion, questions and differing views. We know there are many ways to farm, and these walks are intended to encourage curiosity, practical learning and constructive conversation.

Monthly Steward Walks

We run monthly steward walks for both adults and, on alternate months for families. These walks gradually build on the knowledge of our stewardship members, through the seasons. Newcomers are always welcome and it is optional to sign up as a steward if you would like more regular access to learning and community on the farm. Local Stewards and Engaged Stewards attend free of charge as part of their membership.

Non-members are welcome to join for £20 per person.

Please see our Steward Walks page for upcoming dates and details.

Private Group Tours

If you would like to organise a private walk or farm tour for a group, please get in touch. Private tours are available by arrangement for groups of five or more.
