Organic farming conversion
After the harvest of 2021 we began conversion to organic farming. This involved a 6 part rotation of 12 hectares each, integrated with areas dedicated to wildlife, environmental and public benefit. The cropping areas consisted of: (1) herb rich ley primarily for soil health and fertility building (2) herb rich ley (3) autumn planted cereal crop (wheat) (4) winter planted beans (5) spring planted cereal and legume for wholecrop forage (6) spring planted cereal.
